How the test works
Why aim scores are slower than click scores
Your hit time here is two things added together: the reaction to spot the target, plus the movement to flick the cursor onto it. That's why a good aim time sits well above a pure click reaction — you're not just responding, you're also travelling across the panel.
It's the closest test on this site to competitive FPS play. If you want just the reaction half, run the Classic Reaction Time Test instead.
Twelve targets, one at a time, at random spots. Off-target clicks don't cost you anything — they simply don't register, so a rushed miss can't tank your score. Your result is the median hit time, the same honest middle-value scoring every test here uses.

Why is my aim score slower than my click reaction?
Because it includes movement. Your hit time is the reaction to spot the target plus the time to flick the cursor onto it, so it will always be a few hundred milliseconds slower than a pure click-on-green reaction.
What is a good aim reaction time?
Under about 480 ms median is fast for most players, and under 380 ms is genuinely pro-tier. Beginners often sit around 600–700 ms, which improves quickly with practice.
Does my mouse sensitivity affect the result?
Yes. Sensitivity, DPI and polling rate all change how far and fast the cursor travels per hand movement. Test on the same setup you game on so your scores are comparable over time.
How is this different from an aim trainer?
It measures the same react-and-flick skill on single pop-up targets, but it is a quick benchmark rather than a full training suite. Use it to check your baseline, then a dedicated trainer to drill it.
